Enabling the DJB headquarters to monitor the flow of water in every pipeline across all areas of Delhi

-- Main Lines: 352 Flow meters already installed, 108 more to be installed
-- Secondary water lines: 2,456 flow metres already installed, 1,537 more to be installed
Flow meters is a device used to
-- Measure the volume of water flowing through a pipeline
-- Gauge water pressure
- Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition(SCADA) System
- A key step is installation of flow meters
- For real-time monitoring of water usage across Delhi
- Installation to be done across all 1550kms of Delhi water pipelines
- The data that these meters collect is ultimately transmitted to the SCADA system
- This valuable data will be accessible at the Common Command Centre
- Informed decision-making on water conservation, identifying areas experiencing water depletion, and determining where additional supply can be provided
